Does this work? An honest check
Every draw is an independent random event: every line has the same chance of the top prize, 1 in 20,358,520. The AI Agent’s lines are a selection based on past draws, not a forecast.
Uniformity test (χ²): main numbers p = 0.985. With p above 0.05 the differences in frequency look like ordinary random noise.
Backtest on the last 19 draws: for each draw every strategy picked numbers from earlier history only (3 lines per draw), then matches were counted.

SA LOTTO: 6 from 52, Wednesday and Saturday at 21h00
South Africa's LOTTO is drawn every Wednesday and Saturday, with results published from 21h00 and ticket sales closing at 20h40. You choose 6 numbers from 1 to 52, and a Bonus Ball is drawn as well. The jackpot odds are 1 in 20,358,520 per board, and a board has been reported at R5 as of October 2026 (not yet confirmed on an official page since the 2026 operator change).
The estimated jackpot for the next draw, on Oct 14, 2026, is ZAR 4,500,000. The game is run by Sizekhaya Holdings, which took over the National Lottery from iThuba in June 2026.
From 58 to 52 balls: what it did to the odds
In 2026 the LOTTO number pool was cut from 1–58 to 1–52, according to reports on the change. Six fewer balls sounds small, but it roughly halves the number of possible boards:
- Old game: C(58, 6) = 40,475,358 combinations
- New game: C(52, 6) = 20,358,520 combinations
A board is now about twice as likely to hit the jackpot as under the 58-ball game. The jackpot is still a long shot, but the change is real. Because the matrix changed, LottaGo's statistics for this game only count draws under the 1–52 rules.
LOTTO PLUS in one paragraph
The official National Lottery homepage lists add-on draws alongside LOTTO, including LOTTO PLUS 1 and a newer "LOTTO Max". They use the numbers on your LOTTO board in separate draws for an extra cost. We could not open the official rule pages for these add-ons, so we don't quote their prices or prizes. LottaGo's results and statistics on these pages cover the main LOTTO draw only.
How SA LOTTO works in short
- Pick 6 numbers from 1 to 52 on each board, or choose a quick pick.
- On Wednesday and Saturday, 6 winning numbers and a Bonus Ball are drawn.
- Match all 6 for the jackpot.
- There are 8 prize divisions. The Bonus Ball only counts in the lower divisions.
Our SA LOTTO rules guide explains the game in full, alongside PowerBall and Daily Lotto. South Africa's National Lottery was launched in 2000.
Your odds of winning SA LOTTO
Here is the calculation behind the jackpot odds:
- 52 × 51 × 50 × 49 × 48 × 47 = 14,658,134,400
- ÷ (6 × 5 × 4 × 3 × 2 × 1) = 720
- = 20,358,520 possible boards
Each board has a 1 in 20,358,520 chance of the jackpot. That is about 2.5 times as long as Ireland's 6-from-45 Lotto while South Africa's PowerBall (1 in 33,900,160) is about 1.7 times longer again. Odds for every game on LottaGo are on jackpot odds compared across lotteries.
About the AI Agent lines for SA LOTTO
Searches for "SA Lotto predictions for today" are common, so here is a straight answer. The AI Agent builds 5 boards from 38 past draws under the 1–52 rules: hot numbers, overdue numbers, all-time leaders, a typical-shape board and frequent pairs, each with the reason it was chosen. These are a selection from history, not predictions.
LottaGo checks this openly. A walk-forward backtest replays each strategy against earlier draws and compares it with random picks, and the strategies perform like random picks. The 1–52 game is still young, so the history behind the lines is short as well. See how the AI Agent picks lines and the SA Lotto number statistics.
Buying SA LOTTO tickets through LottaGo
SA LOTTO is listed as on sale through LottaGo's official partner. If you press "Buy ticket", the partner buys a real ticket and pays out any prize; LottaGo does not sell tickets or pay prizes itself. LottaGo earns a commission on these sales, and the commission has no effect on statistics or AI Agent lines. Check the partner's terms for your country before buying.
