Does this work? An honest check
Every draw is an independent random event: every line has the same chance of the top prize, 1 in 376,992. The AI Agent’s lines are a selection based on past draws, not a forecast.
Uniformity test (χ²): main numbers p = 0.775. With p above 0.05 the differences in frequency look like ordinary random noise.
Backtest on the last 150 draws: for each draw every strategy picked numbers from earlier history only (3 lines per draw), then matches were counted.
| Strategy | Avg. matches (of 5) | 3+ matches |
|---|---|---|
| Hot numbers | 0.72 | 0.89% |
| Overdue numbers | 0.649 | 0.22% |
| All-time leaders | 0.702 | 0.67% |
| Typical shape | 0.687 | 0.67% |

Daily Lotto at a glance
Daily LOTTO is South Africa's nightly lottery: you pick 5 numbers from 1 to 36, and the draw takes place every evening except Christmas Day, with results published from 21h00 and sales closing at 20h40. One board costs R3 as of October 2026, as reported after the 2026 operator change, and its chance of the jackpot is 1 in 376,992. The current jackpot is ZAR 500,000, and the next draw is on Oct 13, 2026.
How Daily Lotto works in short
- Pick 5 numbers from 1 to 36 on a board, or ask for a quick pick (often searched as "Kwik Pik").
- No bonus ball. Five numbers are drawn, and only those five count.
- Match all five for division 1, the jackpot. The prize breakdown LottaGo receives from its data partner lists four match levels: 5, 4, 3 and 2 numbers.
- One draw a night. Sales close at 20h40 on draw night.
- The operator is Sizekhaya Holdings, which took over South Africa's National Lottery from iThuba Holdings in June 2026.
Daily LOTTO's rules page on the official site could not be loaded when LottaGo checked it on 11 October 2026, so the format and price above come from reported sources. Confirm them with your retailer. Our Daily LOTTO rules guide covers boards, add-ons and the 2026 changes step by step.
Draw schedule: every night except Christmas Day
Daily Lotto is drawn every day of the week, Saturday and Sunday included. The one exception is Christmas Day, which leaves about 364 draws a year. Sales close at 20h40 South African time, and results are published from 21h00.
That frequency makes Daily Lotto the fastest-moving game on LottaGo's South African pages. The latest Daily Lotto results page lists the newest draw with its prize breakdown and the 60 draws before it, so a missed night is easy to look up by date.
What happened to Daily LOTTO PLUS?
Daily LOTTO PLUS, the add-on that ran alongside the main game, was discontinued after the 2026 operator change, according to reported sources. That is why searches for "Daily Lotto and Plus results" no longer turn up new Plus draws. LottaGo shows the main Daily LOTTO draw only, and the main game itself kept its 5-from-36 format.
Your odds of winning Daily Lotto
Daily Lotto has short odds because the pool is small. The number of different boards is C(36,5) = (36 × 35 × 34 × 33 × 32) ÷ (5 × 4 × 3 × 2 × 1) = 376,992, and only one of them matches the draw exactly. The lower match levels can be counted the same way:
| Match | Calculation | Chance per board |
|---|---|---|
| 5 numbers | 1 ÷ 376,992 | 1 in 376,992 |
| 4 numbers | C(5,4) × C(31,1) = 155 | 1 in 2,432 |
| 3 numbers | C(5,3) × C(31,2) = 4,650 | 1 in 81 |
| 2 numbers | C(5,2) × C(31,3) = 44,950 | 1 in 8.4 |
| 2 or more | 49,756 boards in total | 1 in 7.6 |
LottaGo calculated these figures from the 5-from-36 format; the operator's official odds table could not be checked. For comparison, SA PowerBall is 1 in 33,900,160 for its jackpot, about 90 times harder. All games are side by side in the jackpot odds compared across lotteries table.
About the AI Agent lines for Daily Lotto
The five AI Agent lines on this page are built from 1,770 past Daily Lotto draws, one line per strategy: hot numbers, overdue numbers, all-time leaders, a typical draw shape and frequent pairs. Each line shows the reason it was picked, and "New lines" gives a fresh set.
The lines are a selection from history, not a prediction. The honest check on this page runs a walk-forward backtest over the last 150 draws, with 3 lines per draw for each strategy, and compares the matches with random picks. The strategies perform like random picks. A random board matches on average 5 × 5 ÷ 36 ≈ 0.69 numbers per draw, and no strategy beats that by more than chance. How the AI Agent picks lines explains the method.
Buying Daily Lotto tickets through LottaGo
Daily Lotto is marked "on sale" on LottaGo. The Buy ticket button takes you to LottaGo's official partner, which buys a real ticket for the draw you choose and handles payment and any prize under its own terms. Copy your numbers first, then enter them on the partner's ticket. LottaGo earns a commission when a ticket is bought this way, and that commission has no effect on the statistics or the AI Agent lines. Whether the service is open to you depends on the partner's terms and the law where you live. Daily Lotto is for adults (18+); set a budget before you play.
Daily Lotto FAQ
Is Daily Lotto every day?
Yes. Daily Lotto is drawn every evening of the week, including Saturdays and Sundays, with one exception: there is no draw on Christmas Day. That gives about 364 draws a year. If you are asking "is Daily Lotto playing today", the answer is yes on any day except 25 December, and the countdown at the top of this page shows the time left until sales close.
What time is Daily Lotto drawn?
Daily Lotto sales close at 20h40 South African time, and results are published from 21h00 every evening. LottaGo updates this page and the results page as soon as its data partner sends the new numbers, usually shortly after the draw. The prize breakdown can arrive a little later than the winning numbers. The Daily Lotto number statistics update at the same time.
When are Daily Lotto results out?
From 21h00 South African time on every draw night. The latest result on LottaGo is from Oct 11, 2026: 10, 12, 22, 29, 34. The results page also shows what each match level paid in that draw and the 60 draws before it with their dates.
How much does Daily Lotto pay for 2 numbers?
The amount changes from draw to draw, so check the prize breakdown for your draw date. As an example, in LottaGo's partner data for the draw of 11 October 2026, matching 2 numbers paid R4.90 per board, 3 numbers paid R17.50 and 4 numbers R290.70. The operator's published figures are final.
Is Daily Lotto Plus still available?
No. Daily LOTTO PLUS was discontinued after Sizekhaya Holdings took over the National Lottery in 2026, according to reported sources. Daily Lotto itself continues as before, with 5 numbers from 1 to 36 drawn every night except Christmas Day. LottaGo's results and statistics cover the main draw only.
Does a quick pick have a worse chance than my own numbers?
No. A quick pick is a random board printed by the terminal or app, and it has exactly the same 1 in 376,992 chance of the jackpot as numbers you choose yourself or an AI Agent line. What changes is only how many other players may share your numbers if they win.
