Every draw is an independent random event: every line has the same chance of the top prize, 1 in 62,891,499. The AI Agent’s lines are a selection based on past draws, not a forecast.
Uniformity test (χ²): main numbers p = 0.869. With p above 0.05 the differences in frequency look like ordinary random noise.
Backtest on the last 129 draws: for each draw every strategy picked numbers from earlier history only (3 lines per draw), then matches were counted.

Oz Lotto this week: jackpot and draw time
This week's Oz Lotto Division 1 jackpot is —, and the next draw is Oct 20, 2026. Oz Lotto is drawn once a week, on Tuesday night, after 7.30pm AEST. Seven winning numbers and three supplementary numbers come out of a barrel of 1 to 47. The chance of a single game matching all seven is 1 in 62,891,499.
Seven numbers and three supps: how a division is won
Oz Lotto is run by The Lott (Australia's Official Lotteries). On each game you pick 7 numbers from 1 to 47. On Tuesday night The Lott draws 7 winning numbers and then 3 supplementary numbers ("supps") from the same barrel.
- Division 1, the jackpot, needs all 7 winning numbers. The supps play no part in it.
- Lower divisions pay for fewer winning numbers, and a division can also involve the supps. That is why the Matched column can list a supp next to the winning numbers.
- The prize breakdown on the latest Oz Lotto results page lists every division paid in the last draw, with the numbers matched, the number of winners and the prize per winning game.
The Division 1 jackpot is the only prize advertised before the draw, and it is the figure at the top of this page. Amounts for the other divisions appear once the draw has been made.
Tuesday draw times across Australian time zones
The Lott gives the Oz Lotto draw as after 7.30pm AEST (Brisbane time). The TV broadcast is at about 8.30pm AEST, or 9.30pm AEDT. Because the draw time is anchored to AEST, it shifts on the clock in states with daylight saving. We converted it below:
| Where | Standard time (approx. April–October) | Daylight saving (approx. October–April) |
|---|---|---|
| Queensland (AEST) | after 7.30pm | after 7.30pm |
| NSW, Victoria, ACT, Tasmania | after 7.30pm | after 8.30pm |
| South Australia | after 7.00pm | after 8.00pm |
| Northern Territory | after 7.00pm | after 7.00pm |
| Western Australia | after 5.30pm | after 5.30pm |
| New Zealand | after 9.30pm | after 10.30pm |
Southern states switch to daylight saving on the first Sunday in October. In October 2026, that puts Sydney and Melbourne viewers on the later, after-8.30pm draw. New Zealand changes its clocks on different dates, so the NZ row is approximate around the changeover weeks.
How Oz Lotto works in short
- Choose 7 numbers from 1 to 47 on each game, or take a QuickPick.
- Buy your games from an official seller of The Lott before sales close on Tuesday.
- Watch the draw: 7 winning numbers, then 3 supps.
- Check your games against the results. Division 1 is all 7; lower divisions pay for partial matches.
Our comparison guide Oz Lotto, Powerball and Saturday Lotto compared covers the three games step by step and side by side. Ticket prices are not included on this page: we could not verify the current price per game from The Lott's official pages, so check the price with your seller before you play.
Your odds of winning Oz Lotto
The Division 1 odds come straight from the barrel. The number of ways to pick 7 numbers from 47 is:
C(47,7) = (47 × 46 × 45 × 44 × 43 × 42 × 41) ÷ (7 × 6 × 5 × 4 × 3 × 2 × 1) = 62,891,499
That matches The Lott's published odds of 1 in 62,891,499 per game. For comparison, a 6-from-49 game such as Canada's Lotto 6/49 has 13,983,816 combinations, so Oz Lotto's top prize is about 4.5 times harder to win (62,891,499 ÷ 13,983,816 ≈ 4.5). The jackpot odds compared across lotteries page lines Oz Lotto up against the other games LottaGo covers.
About the AI Agent lines for Oz Lotto
The AI Agent box above offers 5 lines of 7 numbers, built from 229 past Oz Lotto draws under the current 7-from-47 rules, which LottaGo counts from May 24, 2022. Each line uses one strategy (hot numbers, overdue numbers, all-time leaders, typical shape or frequent pairs) and comes with the reason it was picked.
They are not predictions. In a walk-forward backtest over the last 150 draws, each strategy picked 3 lines per draw using only earlier draws, and none of them beat random picks. Every line, AI Agent or QuickPick, has the same 1 in 62,891,499 chance at Division 1. The method is described in how the AI Agent picks lines, and the raw counts behind the lines are on the Oz Lotto number statistics page.
Buying Oz Lotto tickets through LottaGo
Oz Lotto is marked as on sale on LottaGo. The "Buy ticket" button leads to LottaGo's official ticket partner, which buys a real ticket and pays out any prize. LottaGo does not sell tickets or pay prizes, and it earns a commission on tickets bought through the partner. The commission never affects results, statistics or AI Agent lines.
The partner does not serve every country. Its restricted list includes Australia, so players in Australia buy Oz Lotto from The Lott or an authorised newsagent.
