Does this work? An honest check
Every draw is an independent random event: every line has the same chance of the top prize, 1 in 15,339,390. The AI Agent’s lines are a selection based on past draws, not a forecast.
Uniformity test (χ²): main numbers p = 0.764, Bonus number p = 0.596. With p above 0.05 the differences in frequency look like ordinary random noise.
Backtest on the last 144 draws: for each draw every strategy picked numbers from earlier history only (3 lines per draw), then matches were counted.

Most common Set For Life numbers
Counting 244 draws since Jun 6, 2024, the most common Set For Life main numbers are 34, 32, 8, 24, 6, and 3. The Life Ball has its own chart below them. These are counts of past draws. They do not make any number more likely in the next draw, and every line keeps the same 1 in 15,339,390 top-prize chance.
Two pools, two sets of Set For Life statistics
Set For Life draws numbers from two separate pools, so LottaGo keeps two sets of statistics:
- Main numbers (1–47): 5 are drawn each time. A given number should appear in about 5 ÷ 47, or 10.6%, of draws.
- Life Ball (1–10): 1 is drawn each time. Each value should come up in about 10% of draws.
The dashed line on each frequency chart shows that expectation: draws × 5 ÷ 47 for the main numbers and draws ÷ 10 for the Life Ball. LottaGo's history covers the draws since Jun 6, 2024, so these samples are still fairly small. With a few hundred draws, a gap of 10 or more hits between the top and bottom numbers is quite normal.
Hot, cold and overdue numbers explained
Hits in the last 100 draws
At two draws a week, the last 100 draws cover about a year. With equal chances, each main number should appear about 11 times in 100 draws (100 × 5 ÷ 47 ≈ 10.6), and each Life Ball value about 10 times. "Hot" numbers sit well above that and "cold" ones well below. In a window this short, 5 or 17 hits is still ordinary chance.
Gap: draws since a number last appeared
The gap counts the draws since a number last came up. For main numbers the average gap is about 9 draws (47 ÷ 5 ≈ 9.4), around a month of Mondays and Thursdays. For the Life Ball it is about 10 draws. People searching for "Set For Life overdue numbers" are looking at the longest gaps. Gaps of 30–40 draws happen by chance, and they do not mean a number is about to appear.
Pairs, sums and odd/even balance
- Pairs and triplets: each draw has 10 pairs of main numbers (C(5,2) = 10), out of 1,081 possible pairs. The table shows the pairs seen together most often. Triplets and "four numbers" combinations are spread far more thinly. Some will always repeat by chance, and none is a pattern the draw follows.
- Sums: five main numbers from 1–47 add up to 120 on average (5 × 24). The chart shows the band where half of past draws fall.
- Odd/even: with 24 odd and 23 even numbers, our calculation gives 3 odd + 2 even as the most likely split (about 33%), closely followed by 2 odd + 3 even (about 32%). All five odd or all five even happens about 2–3% of the time each.
Is Set For Life random? What the χ² test shows
LottaGo runs a χ² (chi-square) test on each pool. It asks whether the counts differ from the expected line by more than chance normally allows, and it reports a p-value:
- Above 0.05: consistent with normal random variation.
- Below 0.05: an unusual spread. That still happens to about 1 test in 20 on perfectly fair draws, and it would not tell you the next numbers.
Both p-values, one for the main numbers and one for the Life Ball, are shown with the charts. For anyone asking whether Set For Life is rigged, this is a check of the published results only. LottaGo has no access to the draw equipment.
Do hot or overdue numbers help? The backtest
The AI Agent's strategies were tested on the last 150 Set For Life draws. Before each draw, every strategy picked 3 lines, Life Ball included, using only earlier results. We then counted matches against random lines.
The full comparison table is in the "honest check" panel above, and it updates after every draw.
The strategies perform like random picks. That goes for the "Set For Life hot numbers prediction" idea too: a fair draw has no memory, so hot lists describe the past only. The reasons are set out in do hot and cold numbers work?. The AI Agent lines for Set For Life turn these statistics into five lines for fun, each with its reason. The past Set For Life draws are listed by date, and you can compare with the most drawn numbers in other lotteries.
Set For Life statistics FAQ
What are the most common Set For Life numbers?
The most common Set For Life main numbers are currently 34, 32, 8, 24, 6, and 3, counted over 244 draws since Jun 6, 2024. The Life Ball has a separate frequency chart, because it comes from its own 1–10 pool. Both rankings update after every Monday and Thursday draw. They show past frequency, not future likelihood.
Are overdue numbers more likely to be drawn?
No. In each draw, every main number has a 5-in-47 chance and every Life Ball value a 1-in-10 chance, however long it has been absent. Thinking a number is "due" is the gambler's fallacy. LottaGo's backtest shows that overdue-number lines match no more often than random lines.
Is Set For Life rigged, or are the draws random?
LottaGo's χ² tests check whether the main-number and Life Ball counts fit a fair random draw, and the p-values are shown beside the charts. A value above 0.05 means the spread looks like normal chance. The test judges the published results only. It does not inspect how The National Lottery runs its draws.
Which Life Ball comes up most often?
The Life Ball chart shows the current leader and the count for every value from 1 to 10. With one ball drawn per draw, each value is expected in about 10% of draws. Small leads are normal, and none of them changes the 1-in-10 chance in the next draw.
