Does this work? An honest check
Every draw is an independent random event: every line has the same chance of the top prize, 1 in 8,145,060. The AI Agent’s lines are a selection based on past draws, not a forecast.
Uniformity test (χ²): main numbers p = 0.793. With p above 0.05 the differences in frequency look like ordinary random noise.
Backtest on the last 8 draws: for each draw every strategy picked numbers from earlier history only (3 lines per draw), then matches were counted.
| Strategy | Avg. matches (of 6) | 3+ matches |
|---|---|---|
| Hot numbers | 0.833 | 4.17% |
| Overdue numbers | 0.958 | 4.17% |
| All-time leaders | 0.958 | 4.17% |
| Typical shape | 0.75 | 0% |

Most drawn Irish Lotto numbers
LottaGo counts Irish Lotto statistics only under the current rules: 16 draws since Sep 5, 2026. In that period the most drawn main numbers are 15, 24, 14, 20, 26, and 3. The charts above show the count for every number from 1 to 45, the most recent draws and the gap since each number last came up.
A number's past frequency does not change its chance in the next draw. Every Irish Lotto line keeps the same 1 in 8,145,060 odds of the jackpot.
Why these statistics start from the current rules
Irish Lotto switched from 47 balls to 45 in September 2026. Numbers 46 and 47 no longer exist, and with a smaller pool every remaining number comes up a little more often than before. Mixing old and new draws would distort the counts, so LottaGo only counts draws under the current rules.
That keeps the figures honest but also short. With few draws, the counts move a lot from one draw to the next. In the new game each number has a 6 in 45 chance per draw, about 13.3%, so after 30 draws the expected count is only about 4. A number on 7 hits and another on 1 is an ordinary result at this stage, not a pattern.
Hot, cold and overdue numbers explained
Hits in the last 100 draws
The recent-draws view counts each number over the most recent draws, up to 100. The "Hot" panel shows the numbers drawn most often in that window. In a 100-draw window each Irish Lotto number would come up about 13 times on average. Until the 1–45 game has 100 draws, this window simply covers all of them.
Gap: draws since a number last appeared
"Gap" counts the draws since each number last came up, and the "Overdue" panel lists the longest gaps. An Irish Lotto number reappears every 7.5 draws on average, which at three draws a week is about two and a half weeks. Longer gaps are routine: a given number misses 20 draws in a row about 6% of the time, so at any moment two or three numbers are usually on gaps that long.
Pairs, sums and odd/even balance
Frequent pairs shows which two numbers have come up together most often. Any specific pair has about a 1.5% chance in each draw, so with a short history most pairs have appeared once or not at all, and a pair with two or three appearances will top the list. Treat "hot pairs" and quadruplets with that in mind.
Sum of 6 numbers and odd / even describe the shape of each draw. Sums bunch in the middle and splits like 3 odd / 3 even are common because more combinations produce them, not because the machine prefers them. The charts count main numbers only, so there are no separate bonus ball statistics on this page.
Is Irish Lotto random? What the χ² test shows
The χ² (chi-squared) test checks whether the differences between frequent and rare numbers are larger than chance would explain. It returns a p-value: above 0.05, the spread looks like normal random variation. With few draws under the 1–45 rules the test has little power, so a "random-looking" result is expected for now. The current p-value is shown in the "Does this work? An honest check" panel above.
Do hot or overdue numbers help? The backtest
The same honest check replays each AI Agent strategy, such as hot numbers, overdue numbers and frequent pairs, against past draws: for each draw, 3 lines per strategy are picked from earlier draws only, then matches are counted. The strategies perform like random picks. Our guide do hot and cold numbers work? explains why, with live data from several games.
Irish Lotto statistics FAQ
Which Irish Lotto numbers are drawn the most?
Since Sep 5, 2026, the most drawn Irish Lotto main numbers are 15, 24, 14, 20, 26, and 3, based on 16 draws under the current 1–45 rules. Because the new game is young, the top of this list changes often. It reflects past draws only and does not make these numbers more likely next time. The past Irish Lotto draws show the numbers behind the counts.
Are overdue numbers more likely to be drawn?
No. Every Irish Lotto draw starts with all 45 balls, and each number has the same 6 in 45 chance whether it came up last Saturday or has been missing for a month. The idea that an absent number is "due" is the gambler's fallacy. LottaGo's backtest shows overdue-number lines doing no better than random lines.
Is Irish Lotto rigged, or are the draws random?
LottaGo's figures show nothing beyond normal randomness. The χ² test compares the real number counts with equal chances, and the backtest finds no strategy that beats random picks. Neither test examines the draw equipment itself; they only show that the published results contain no usable pattern. For other games, see the most drawn numbers in other lotteries.
